Ghost Story

My ghost story is about Morgan's corner and the superstition behind the whole area. I had heard this story from my seventh grade teacher Mr.Koshiba, as a class we had a free period and it was Halloween so we decided it would be fun to listen to ghost stories. So Mr. Koshiba had a book that was filled with Hawaiian scary stories and he started to tell us some pretty freaky stories. There were so many different ones that he told us but the one that really stuck to me and gave me goose bumps was the one of Morgan's corner.
This story takes place in the area of the Pali called Morgan's corner. Supposedly a couple was driving home over the Pali and stopped at Morgan's corner and for a while because the rain was coming down hard. After they waited around for a while for the rain to let up, they decided it was getting late and it was time to head home. The man tried to start the car but the engine made a puttering noise and refused to start. He decided to go to the town near by and look for some help, he told the woman to stay in the car and wait for him because he would be back soon. So he left and she did as he told her to and stayed in the car waiting for him. She waited up for a while and she then decided to just go to sleep.
She woke up in the middle of the night to rain falling on the roof of her car and the branches scratching the top of the car, but she paid no attention to it and dozed back to sleep. In the morning a police officer went to her and woke her up. He then took to his car and she saw that there were a lot of policemen in the area. The one officer told her not to look back but she got curious and did, she was horrified! What she thought was rain was actually the blood of the man and the branches scratching was his toenails scrapping the top of the roof. He had been hung and the wind was blowing him back and forth.
This is just one of the many stories that Morgan's corner has, but in my opinion one of the scarier ones that still freaks me out.
